A Few of my Favorite Things

The weekend had finally arrived! So excited for this weekend's Indie Garage Sale! We will be at MVCC in Utica this year from 12-5 on both Saturday and Sunday. It's free to get in, however early bird tickets are available for those who would like a crowd free shopping experience. With your $10 ticket you will receive a limited edition IGS tote bag and entry into a $50 indie bucks raffle - not to mention first dibs on all the awesome stuff.

I am in love with the poster this year! My ornaments were chosen to be featured on the posters and billboards throughout the area:

Here are some ornaments I'll be selling along with my artwork and jewelry:

Rochester, NY Trip

It's been quite a while since my last post! I've just returned from a trip to Rochester, NY for the Mayday Underground Craft Show and a mini vacation with my college friends!

In preparation for the show I created a painting of the Rochester skyline and 490 bridge. Prints are now available on Etsy.

This painting was done in a technique I have not used in a while: oil pastel, oil paint and colored pencil. I think I'll be experimenting with this a little more, since I'd forgotten how much I enjoy it.

Heres some photos from the weekend:

Advertising Photography by C. Vallese

Previously I had mentioned that my sister is a photographer. I have asked her (and she has agreed!) to be my photographer for my jewelry and accessory lines.

Here is the first set:

I wanted an autumn and bohemian look for these photos, she did a great job!

Love.

Back to School 2012 Indie Garage Sale

Just wrapped up my favorite local sale, the Indie Garage Sale! I worked out this brand new set up. The side displays are made from inexpensive crates, spray paint, and the bottoms and tops are covered with Mod Podge and scrapbook paper. I used some yarn and some clothespins to hang my small 8"x10" prints.

Also made this great little chalk board price signs. I think in total they cost me about $5 to make. Much more versatile than the paper signs.

"Female Fashion Affair"

This friday I was a part of a great event at Urban Headquarters in Utica called "The Female Fashion Affair." The event is the first of what we hope to be a bi-annual event with an almost full female cast of artists, photographers, craft vendors, musicians, fashion designers, spoken word poets, etc. We had a great turn out and I'm very happy to have been a part of the event!

Here are some photos from my display:

I'm also getting ready for the Spring Indie Garage sale at the Utica train station.

I'm thinking of making some hair pieces to match those necklaces!!
